- Test modified and culturally sensitive approaches in several countries.
- Carry out interregional training.
- Develop a network of organisations.
- Each organisation is to develop a best practices tool kit.
- Integrate approaches from around the world; start with participating organisations present. UNICEF should facilitate networking and sharing of best practices.
- Establish a resource centre where organisations can source information and research. It would house information from all organisations so that they can all learn from each other's experiences.
- Create a database /website that people can access so that approaches used to help adolescents can be spread, and people can learn from organisations' work, gleaning experience from them.
- Set a time frame /deadline. We have to act now because cultures change so much. UNICEF in conjunction with organisations present at Xpression should act now in order to gain maximum effectiveness from proposals.
- UNICEF should visit agencies and view what is taking place at the grassroots level.
- Develop a methodology or tool kit on how to approach and deal with developing adolescents' spirituality.
- Transfer information to cultures properly. Share the information within the network.
- Develop advertising campaign targeting corporate world. Corporate world should uphold social responsibility and contribute to the drive to reach young people from different cultures. UNICEF has a major role to play in reaching companies and getting them to listen.
- Campaigning should be above and below the line, that is not only should we use the television, radio and print media, but also host events such as poetry sessions, other community activities and projects, and art displays using graffiti for example.
- Revise and develop policy that concerns young people.
- Create a brand that gets respect and trust from young people for example, Soul City is a respected brand among South African adolescents. Participants agreed that "Xpression" should be the brand, since we want young people to express themselves and especially as the word expression is pronounced almost the same in mainstream working languages. Brochures about Xpression should be made.
- Create a magazine named Xpression that is operated by young people. Whether it should be global, regional or national is to be decided.
- Promote culture as an instrument of social change. Encourage young people to be agents of their own change and empowerment.
- Place key people on grass roots level to push mass movement in order to increase commitment to reaching the adolescents.
